American Express, in partnership with VEVO and YouTube announced that Coldplay, the Grammy award-winning rock band, will be the latest performer in its popular livestream music series, ‘American Express Unstaged’.

The performance will be broadcasted live globally from one of Spain’s most famous arenas, Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, at 4:00 pm ET /1:00 pm PT on October 26 at www.youtube.com/coldplayVEVO.

It will also be available on mobile devices via VEVO and YouTube apps for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android. The concert will come just two days after Coldplay’s fifth studio album, MYLO XYLOTO (Capitol Records), appears in stores.

The popular rock band will team up with an iconic film director to make the video of the concert. Coldplay performance will be viewed through the lens of Anton Corbijn, the award-winning filmmaker and photographer (The American, Control). Corbijn is known for his masterful use of black and white and striking imagery and will create another masterpiece on the fans’ eyes during the concert.

This will be the sixth event within ‘American Express Unstaged’ music series that featured such recognized musicians as Arcade Fire, John Legend & The Roots, Sugarland, Duran Duran and My Morning Jacket.
