The whiskey company Chivas Brothers, a part of Pernod Ricard international group of companies, has presented one of its rarest blends, the ultra-premium Chivas Regal The Icon. The luxurious decanter and the outer case were designed by the brand consultancy Coley Porter Bell.
The new bottle has been launched in travel retail for $3,500; the global roll out is slated for September 2015.
To create the prestige decanter for Chivas Regal The Icon, the agency has collaborated with leading luxury cabinet and display-makers Ch. Dahlinger and the master craftsmen at Dartington Crystal. Each bottle is hand blown and features a subtle metalwork adorned with the Celtic symbol of friendship and love, a luckenbooth. The green glass of the bottle pays homage to the original bottle of 1909, when Chivas Regal was first exported from Scotland.
The green refined outer case is inspired by the golden age of travelling.

Richard Clayton, Creative Director at Coley Porter Bell, commented:
“It has been a wonderful challenge to develop the pinnacle of the Chivas range. We have taken our brand learnings accrued over the years and distilled this down to the very essence and visual DNA of the Chivas Regal brand. We’ve then married this with our luxury knowledge and experience of working in the ultra-prestige spirits world to create something which stands out from the crowd. Chivas Regal The Icon exudes contemporary elegance whilst acknowledging the brand’s luxury past.”
