First Nations, Inuit and Metis artists have made astonishing masterpieces using Coca-Cola contour bottle as their canvas and dedicated the works to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The art bottles will be shown to public along the route of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay between November and February, and later auctioned.
By Dawn Oman, represented in Yellowknife on 5 November
By Jerry Ell, represented in Iqaluit Community Celebration on 8 November
The creations will be exhibited during the Games and later will be sold on the auction, which will be arranged from February 15 – February 25, 2010. All the proceeds will be donated to Aboriginal Youth Legacy Fund and support its projects in humanitarian areas. The totem pole made by Clarence Mills, a famous artist, will be sold as well.
Coca-Cola continues to communicate art, sport and people. And does it in a very nice way as usual.
