From March 1st to 25th the project “Designlabor 25|25” has created a pop-up store with extraordinary packaging design in the “kulturreich” gallery in Hamburg. Over a period of 25 days, 25 designers will be filling the empty white rooms of the gallery with outstanding, innovative packaging design.
On March 23th at 7pm, Designlabor 25|25 will proudly present the premiere of the Winners Reel of the Design Cannes Lions 2009. Werbe Weischer, the German representative of the festival, has kindly offered the short list of the submissions for the design category.
During this time the gallery will be used as exhibition space as well as working area. Several events will also be taking place at this location. The project was also launched online at www.designlabor25-25.de. The designers and other participants of the project write about trends, aspects and opportunities in the packaging and design world. Also stickers depicting blank white packaging shapes are available to download. These stickers are an invitation to everybody to create their own packaging design. The results can be uploaded on our blog or Flickr and will be presented in the online gallery.
