D&G’s perfume The One promoted in a romantic short film “Street of Dreams” by Martin Scorsese

Dolce&Gabbana has tapped the acclaimed film director Martin Scorsese for a new promotional mini film, “Street of Dreams,” starring Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey.

This black-and-white visual narration is about the romantic relationship sparking in deserted New York between a travelling model and a handsome stranger. The two arrive at the top of an old building in the city centre in a retro-styled Alfa Romeo convertible, sharing the love vibe through words and glances. The film is part of a broader campaign promoting the brand’s fragrances The One and The One for Men.

“Street of dreams is an epic story of the power of love and the power of dreams. This is a story of unbridled emotion. A story of Italy; of Hollywood; and of the world. Its classic cinematic style evokes both the grandeur of the golden years of Hollywood, and the passion and emotion of Europe’s greatest cinema icons,” says the brand.

The print ad campaign fronted by Johansson and McConaughey was created by the celebrated fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh. For the shoot, the actors and the creative team travelled to Hollywood and Cinecittà to capture the remarkable spirit of these places that syncs with the essence of the fragrances’ style. Along with the film trailers, the official page of the campaign also features backstage videos, images and trailers that render the stylish and refined atmosphere of the locations.
