Electrolux Design Lab Running a Logo Competition

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Electrolux Design Lab has launched a logo competition. Design students from all around the world are invited to create a new logo for the Electrolux concept. They can apply till 9 March 2012.

The Electrolux Design Lab Logo competition runs in collaboration with Yanko Design that has been Electrolux Design Lab’s partner for several years. Yanko Design is a blog about all the best in industrial design. It’s the platform No.1 for both students and professionals to share ideas and to launch their own store. The blog provides students with information about the competition that are also available on Electrolux Facebook page.

Students participation in the 2012 Design Lab competition are briefed with the 2012 theme of ‘Design experience,’ with a special focus on sensory experiences.

“We are proud and excited to be celebrating ten years with Electrolux Design Lab and a new logo is a good way to start a new chapter. Electrolux Design Lab has brought us so much inspiration and provided a career platform for extra-ordinarily talented design students. We are really looking forward to seeing ideas on how a logo that captures all the dynamics of Electrolux Design Lab should look like”, says Karl Nyberg, Project Manager, Electrolux Design Lab.

The logo should demonstrate youth spirit, creativity and prestige of the Electrolux brand. During the last ten years Electrolux has seen more than 10,000 design concepts, so this year’s expectations are especially high.

The winner will travel to Stockholm for a weekend and take a guided tour of the Electrolux Global Design Centre. The winner will get full press promotions and will be well advertised through Electrolux’s media channels, while the logo will be used in all future promotions of Electrolux Design Lab.
