evian Is to Unveil a New Limited Edition Bottle by Courrèges

evian has partnered with French fashion house Courrèges to release a new limited-edition bottle. This design of the bottle, launching today globally, combines evian’s modern young spirit with the House of Courrèges’ nonconventional approach.

The bottle features the design house’s elegant white and pink emblematic flower (introduced in 1967) on the backdrop of evian’s iconic glass bottle silhouette. Printed with organic ink for the first time, the bottle is composed of 100% recyclable packaging.

Courrèges is a fashion house known for almost 50 years and has been a trendsetter though the decades. It discovered pants for women in 1963 and started the mini-skirt revolution. Implementing new materials and using vibrant colors to free women from the classical conventions has always been its signature tune.

The launch of the bottle will happen during Fashion’s Night Out and evian will be introducing the bottle at Jeffrey New York and Colette in Paris.

The bottle will be available in select restaurants and hotels starting from November 2011 and online at shop.evian.us for pre-order.

“evian and Courrèges both share the idea that youth is a matter of attitude rather than age,” said Jerome Goure, VP Marketing, Danone Waters of America. “The idea here was to bring Courreges’ timeless taste for fresh concepts to conceive a water bottle design that radiates a joy and a freedom from convention.”

evian has been creating limited edition bottles to celebrate its Live young spirit since the Winter Olympic Games in 1992. Since 2008, the brand has developed the designs with such couturiers as Issey Miyake, Paul Smith, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix.

In spring, evian unveiled a new lighter plastic bottle to reduce carbon footprint featuring a fun ad video.
