Google pays tribute to small businesses in the UK by rolling out a new product, the AdWords Credit Card, which enables them to pay for the AdWords service and coordinate the spending. The internet giant has launched a dedicated page www.google.co.uk/adwords/businesscredit, where users can learn more about the new program, launched on Sunday, October 7.

“AdWords Business Credit helps keep your ads running consistently. It comes with generous terms, so you have the flexibility to spend what you need to promote your business. Plus, you receive one monthly statement, which makes it easy to keep track of your spending,” says the page. The company is planning to launch the program in the US later this month, as was announced in the post on the Inside AdWords Blog.
This service has been tested by Google for a year—in July 2011, the AdWords credit card was offered to select 1,400 small businesses from a range of industries in the USA. According to the survey, the pilot proved successful since “74% of respondents said they now use AdWords Business Credit as their primary form of AdWords payment.” The new card (a MasterCard) can be used only for purchasing AdWords services, nothing else. For the new program, Google partnered with the Barclays group in the UK and Comenity Capital Bank in the USA.
Google is not the only company, which supports small businesses—last year, Starbucks launched the Create Jobs for USA project, and recently Amazon launched a lending program for its independent sellers.
