Google, McDonald’s and Amazon are among the top 10 simplest and most social global brands

Last week, the two global brand rankings were released independently — Klot’s Top 50 most influential brands on social media and Siegel+ Gale’s Global Brand Simplicity Index 2014.

The first one was complied by Klout, social media experts, who analyzed social performance of the brands from Interbrand’s 2014 Best Global Brand report and assigned social score. The Simplicity Index 2014, based on surveys of 12,000 consumers worldwide, researched people’s perception of 585 global brands in terms how simple their product, services or communications were.

Interestingly, three brand names—Google, McDonad’s and Amazon—appear on both top 10 lists, which may build a link between a level of social media engagement a brand offers and it’s performance at «simplicity.»
