Google, YouTube and Starbucks Are the Best Brand Sensei’s in 2010—Based on the Results of the 5-month Expert Voting

18 January, 2011, London—After a 1-month holiday break, Popsop team and our honoured judges are back to evaluating brands for their teaching and inspiring activities as a part of Sensei Brand Award, established by Popsop last year.

Going through the results of the first 5 months of SBA voting, we have selected 3 leaders aka sensei’s who secured maximum expert votes in 2010. Here they are —Google, YouTube and Starbucks, the first SBA’11 semifinalists!

December SBA round 5, though, showed a bit different state of things. According to the montly voting in December, the leaders were, as following:

1. Google with its new Google Earth Engine to track environmental changes.
2. PepsiCo with the charitable initiative to help educate South African Children.
3. Nike with its first-ever ‘Environmental apparel design tool’ to help measure the footprint in the process of production.

Obviously, all these brand activities have the same eco focus, which proves the fact that green thinking and sustainability are among the main areas of impact for brands who strive to change our attitude and teach us a new planet friendly philosophy.
