This year English luxury retailer Harrods keeps promoting its charitable campaign «Emerald City» intended to raise the funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The money (about 300,000 pounds) will be donated on the reconstruction of kidney department — the largest children’s kidney transplant centre in the UK. This charitable campaign is called «Emerald City» after the famous fairy-tail about the Wizard of Oz. Thousands of green bulbs were lighted across the building of Harrods at Knightsbridge.
Everyone can make a donation and help Great Ormond Street Hospital — there is a special online form on Harrods website.Let’s mention that the campaign started on 29th of October and Dannii Minogue and Mr Al Fayed were the first to open the magic doors to the Wizard of Oz land.
