Heineken, Diageo and Coca-Cola Support a UK Pub Rating Website

A new interactive platform gives patrons a chance to rate and score their local pubs. Useyourlocal.com, in cooperation with Heineken, Diageo and Coca-Cola offers up this innovative idea of rating the drinks and services at local establishments throughout the UK.

Viewers of the site will be able to not only grade but also be informed on which bars measure up to the standards they wish to enjoy. The data will be readily available to licensees, consumers, and the brand owners in hopes of improving the experiences for all.

Being able to access this level of live consumer feedback will provide us with a much clearer insight into how well consumers think our brands are being kept and served across the country,” noted Guy Hutchinson, quality director at Heineken UK.

Soft drinks are playing an increasingly important role in the great British pub, we need to continue our work with publicans to ensure customers are being served to the very highest standards,” added Stephen Fry, head of immediate consumption at Coca-Cola Enterprises.

The interactive site offers a living chart of the best pubs and drinks available changing with every new entry. People will also be able to see what services are offered by what business. Finding the best places to drink will not be a problem since Google Streetview has also been fully integrated with directions and photos.

So far the website has around 70,000 listings in the UK with 1,500 full members. A pub can get listed for an annual fee of £50.
