Kiehl’s Will Motorcycle to Raise Funds for the AIDS Foundation amfAR

Kiehl’s, the New York-based skin care company since 1851, announced a continued partnership with amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

Kiehl’s has been supporting HIV/AIDS charities for a long time. Now, through partnerships with amfAR, the Magic Johnson AIDS Foundation, and YouthAIDS, Kiehl’s has donated more than $1,000,000 to the cause.

To raise funds for amfAR, the company is embarking on the second annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, a seven-day charity motorcycle ride, July 31August 6, 2011 throughout the Northeast. Kiehl’s ride will make stops at five freestanding stores along the way, and make donations totaling $75,000.

Kiehl’s ride will be led by Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl’s USA and Alain de Cadenet, Le Mans racer and ESPN ‘Speed Channel’ host, with famous motorcycle enthusiasts including Jason Lee, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tyson Beckford, Tricia Helfer, Justin Chatwin, Katee Sackhoff, Teddy Sears, Christopher Redman, and Marguerite Moreau.

Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream, a new version of Kiehl’s customer favorite, will also be introduced, featuring a special motorcycle motif. 100% of Kiehl’s net profits from the sale of this product, up to $25,000, will go to amfAR.

Kiehl’s will offer a Celebration Discount of 15% off all purchases at each store nationwide and the day of its event.
