The Levi’s brand, which has recently launched several projects focused and aimed at women, teamed up with the Pictory photography platform to present a ‘Secrets of Inspiring Women’ digital exhibition, celebrating millennial women and paying tribute to their creativity and mentoring power. This online showcase follows the launch of Shape What’s to Come Levi’s project, revolving around the same theme.
Female photographers are invited to join in by sending their visual works along with short explanation to provide viewers with an insight into how the work was created and who is there in the picture (all of them are women as well). The online exhibition is curated by Pictory founder Laura Brunow Miner and photographer Maren Celest, who recently shot ‘Shape What’s to Come’ Ambassador posters. The gallery, sponsored by Levi’s, features inspirational portraits of ladies of all ages and nationalities, along with branded images promoting the recently-launched web-community dedicated to women.
“Pictory is thrilled to partner with the Levi’s brand to enable young women to tell the stories behind the pursuit of their passions and potential through photography,” said Laura Brunow Miner. “I love how the Levi’s brand has taken up the charge to connect women by interests and industries to empower one another. It’s exciting to see them focus their influence as a pioneering brand on impacting the lives and careers of countless young women.”
Another women-inspired project of Levi’s is the collection of new jeans, Curve ID, which is made on the basis of the notion that shape matters, not size. This summer, Levi’s also launched a massive campaign celebrating creative people and labour with a series of projects including photo and printing workshops in the USA. “We are building on this legacy to help young women shape their futures. ShapeWhat’sToCome.com, and related projects, are designed to celebrate and inspire the young women who are shaping our world,” said Mary Alderete, Vice President of Levi’s Global Women’s Marketing.
