In course of its online contest ‘Share and Win’ launched in Europe on February 9, Levi’s introduced a unique prize—a one-of-a-kind fixed-gear bicycle decorated with denim and painted in a color that resembles jeans. This model was created by Levi’s in cooperation with Unik bike, Belgium’s pro in re-inventing vintage bikes, Fixerati, a shop specializing in supplying rare bike parts, and London-based Brother Cycles, which is considered N1 bike frame manufacturer.
What makes Levi’s version of Fixie bike so special? First of all, the saddle and handlebar are covered in denim and decorated with bronze metal buttons. Other features of this unique collectible include, according to denimblog.com, «the hand-made Brother Cycles frame, a custom graphic design and paintjob showcasing the red, white and blue colors of the American flag as well as denim stitching and the arcuate that the Levi’s brand is known for.» Given the high quality spare parts, Big-Brother-manufactured frame as well as Levi’s number of iconic clothing elements used for decoration, there is no surprise that Levi’s Fixie bike is worth EUR 1500.
As mentioned previously, this bike will be awarded to the winner of ‘Share and Win’ contest. By launching it, Levi’s calls all European-based denim fans and Facebook users to share as more items from its Spring/Summer 2011 collection as possible on their user profile page by clicking ‘Share’ button.
