LG Rolling out Its 3D World

LG’s CINEMA 3D Smart TV owners can now use all the privileges of 3-dimensial reality by using LG’s 3D World, a premium content service that available in nearly 70 countries.

3D World gives LG is an extension of LG’s original 3D Zone Smart TV app launched last year  that offers users a broad selection of high quality 3D content via a ‘card’ on the Home Dashboard.

Whether users choose to learn or entertain themselves, the can find lots of apps across numerous content categories such as entertainment, sports, documentary, kids, and lifestyle on the 3D World platform. The apps provide people with in-depth experience making images more realistic and vivid.

LG also plans to sign new agreements with global 3D content providers to give consumers an opportunity to experience the best 3D content. 3D World will be available in an app-format for in CINEMA 3D Smart TVs that were produced in 2011. The 2012 models will use the service on the Home Dashboard.

3D World is a critical part of LG’s long-term strategy which includes controlling more of the 3D ecosystem that CINEMA 3D owners experience,” said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company. “With the global roll-out of 3D World, LG is demonstrating its commitment to providing diverse, high quality 3D content.”

LG is also known for conquering the world with its global 3D Game festival.
