Madonna Joins The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project

The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project welcomes the world’s No.1 female artist, Madonna, who joins the brand’s one-of-a-kind program of swapping partying experiences around the globe. In its second year, the international initiative, launched by one of the best vodka brands in the world in 2010, is encouraging people to share their nightlife traditions through Facebook and swap the unique parties on November 12. The pop diva, who has turned 53 this week, has joined the ambitious program to find the most brilliant dancer, who will be invited to join her upcoming series of concerts.

Smirnoff mixes original nightlife from around the world and gives everyone the chance to be there through extraordinary, one-of-a-kind experiences. Who better to decide the best in the dance category than Madonna herself?” commented Simon Burch, Global Brand Director for The Smirnoff Co, on the collaboration with Material Girl.

This year, Smirnoff is going to reach 10 million people and adds more countries: in 2010, there were just 14 of them, and this year the brand has extended the campaign to 50 countries, including Cyprus, Vietnam, New Zealand, Belgium, Nigeria, India, Japan, Poland, Norway, Turkey and Cameroon to name but a few (find the full list in the press release). The concept of the Project remains the same: Facebook users add their own ideas on what the dance, fashion, music and places should be selected for the party to make it a true reflection of their location’s spirit, and the brand chooses the most original suggestions to be implemented in November. Then, the countries will swap their nightlife events, providing people in one region with an opportunity to feel the party spirit of another distant location.

Smirnoff is also offering its fans a great chance to join Madonna’s dance team on her upcoming tour. From August 18 through October 10 users can submit a 60-second video featuring their dance, emoting true originality and passion. The finalists of the online competition will be invited to one of the selected Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project events, and asked to dance live in front of Madonna, who will choose the best performer.
