Marc Jacobs selects 9 amateur “crowdsourced” models for the Fall/Winter collection

In spring, Marc Jacobs run a campaign searching for the fresh faces for its Fall/Winter 2014 collection’s campaign. Users were invited to submit their portraits using the #castmemarc hashtag on Instagram and Twitter. Now, the fashion label shares the results of its crowd-supported audition.

As part of the effort, 70,000+ people from all across the globe sent in their selfies. The best of the best—30 finalists—were shortlisted. After that, the creative team of the brand run a final round, selecting just nine models, which were ultimately invited to front the campaign that now debuts in the August issue of Teen Vogue.

It was Marc Jacobs himself along with casting director Anita Bitton and the brand’s creative directors Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier who were selecting the best fitting models. The strikingly beautiful visuals, full of the young models’ charisma, can be found here.
