Marks & Spencer Changes its Celebrity’s Line-up

Marks & Spencer is about to change its marketing strategy, so it has dropped a series of television adverts featuring model Twiggy, former X-factor judge Dannii Minogue and singer VV Brown that featured in its Spring campaign.

According to The Telegraph, the celebrity’s line-up now feature model Lisa Snowdon and former footballer Jamie Redknapp will be continuing to promote the M&S brand in future. Twiggy is probably will continue working with the company as she will appear on billboards and in-store promotions, or doing voice-over. But the company refused to say whether she would be seen in the flesh in any new TV adverts for the retailer.

A spokesman for Marks & Spencer said: «For competitive reasons we don’t comment on our future advertising plans.»

All other celebs, including Myleene Klass and Mick Jagger’s daughter Lizzy, are understood to no longer be working with M&S.

The line-up of celebrities featured in the company’s famous campaigns has frequently changed. The Christmas commercials included Take That, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley, Life on Mars actor Philip Glenister, Shirley Bassey and even Wallace and Gromit. Models Laura Bailey, Erin O’Connor and Lily Cole have also modelled for the brand.
