McDonald’s Fiesta Tour: Stars Inspiring Students Strive for Better Results

McDonald’s is working on its Fiesta Tour: a tour across the U.S. in course of which it will bring several private concerts of Latin popstar PeeWee to three deserving schools that have shown outstanding academic performance during last academic year.

Peewee has joined the brand in an effort to demonstrate his support for the students and encourage them to study further and aim for higher education. The performer will sing a set of his best songs, talk to students about their dreams, goals and aspirations and will answer questions the students would like to ask.

The national celebratory tour was launched April 19 at Meadowcreek High School in Atlanta and it will now head to San Fernando High School in Los Angeles on May 6th and East Morton High School in Cicero, IL on June 2nd.

These year, the three schools were selected based on such criteria as overall high academic performance, increase in university admission rates, participation in educational courses. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) actively participated in the selection of three best educational establishments as an organization that has vast experience in the field of education.

Cristina Vilella, Director of Marketing, McDonald’s USA, said, “McDonald’s is proud to continue its support of the FiestaTour High School Stops with PeeWee. As a talented Latino artist, he brings an exciting experience to these deserving high school students who should feel very proud of their accomplishments. Our hope is that this program inspires them to continue with their higher education goals.”

During the school visits, the students will have a chance to visit the McDonald’s FiestaTour on campus. In addition, students will be provided with information about the RMHC®/HACER® scholarship program, designed to award four $100,000 scholarships to deserving Hispanic students annually, along with local scholarships offered to successful students throughout the country.
