MINI Takes the States to Celebrate Its Milestone Birthday

To mark its 10th anniversary in the USA, MINI initiates celebrations nationwide to show how ‘MINI Takes The States’.

As the USA is the most important sales market for MINI, according to the British car brand, it’s important for them to make the celebration it big and loud and saying ‘Let’s Motor,’ MINI started on a rally yesterday in New York. The opening event overviewed development of the brand in the USA, its perspectives and finally the sent the drivers from MINI USA’s Woodcliff Lake headquarters located close to New York City to Washington D.C.

MINI Paceman was officially acknowledged as the name of the brand’s seventh model, which will be presented in a few months and launched in 2013. MINI Paceman is a three-door model and the world’s «first Sports Activity Coupé in the premium compact segment,» said Dr. Kay Segler, Senior Vice President MINI Brand Management.

This is the fourth time that the several thousand of MINI community has gathered in the US for a rally. The 2012 route differs from the previous ones and leads drivers through 16 states, with stops in 13 cities. The official closing ceremony will be held on July 15 at the House of Blues West Hollywood in Los Angeles.

At each stop point, MINI will roll out celebration events including parties, music concerts, sporting competitions and slalom tests held on closed roads.

A part of the proceeds from each $30 participant registration fee will be donated to charity just like during the previous rallies. MINI USA will also donate a minimum of $10,000 to the US Paralympic Team. To honor the London 2012 Olympics, MINI has released a short movie called The Britalian Job.
