The SS12 advertisement campaign shot by Giampaolo Sgura has already been round the world. Monica Bellucci, Bianca Balti and Simone Nobili, along with cameo appearances from the world of Italian cinema, have illustrated the Italian dream of the ‘vegetables’ collection born of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s creative flair,” writes Golce&Gabbana’s official blog Swide.

The 47-year old cinema diva, who wore elegant black dresses as well as a range of brighter outfits for the shoot, was photographed alongside much younger Italian model Bianca Balti, but despite the age gap, Monica looked just perfect thanks to her natural good looks, charisma and flawless complexion.

Belucci, who joined the Dolce & Gabbana team of international beauties including Scarlett Johansson and Felicity Jones to name but a few, is a true icon of Italian style and epitomizes everyday luxury like no one else. The actress, who appeared in the Dolce&Gabbana x Martini advert in 2010, has fronted the campaign of the new SS2012 collection as well as become the face of an advertising push for a limited edition line of Monica Lipsticks, which hit the stores in May 2012.

I’m delighted to be collaborating with Domenico and Stefano. I’ve always adored the aesthetic of Dolce & Gabbana and it’s so exciting to be involved with their creative process,» commented Bellucci on the project.
