Nike Releases Sounds of Africa

The sixth mixtape has been released for “Pitch Perfect”, Nike Sportswear and The FADER’s celebration of South African music and culture from six continents. In this final mix, innovative DJ Spoek Mathambo from Johannesburg uses kwaito, electro, hip hop and his own unique vision into new music to define the music of tomorrow.

Each of the six mixtapes is dedicated to one of the continents and feature original artwork from British artist Siggi Eggertson. His vibrating designs for the albums are also available as limited-edition screen-printed posters. This final mix is co-sponsored by (RED) — the program fighting to eliminate AIDs in Africa.

The new album includes the following compositions performed by African musicians

Tim Turbo f. Spoek Mathambo and Gnucci Banana, “Linyora” (SA)
DJ CNDO, “Terminator” (SA)
DJ Mujava f. DJ Menace, “Tshwara” (SA)
BB Ramazani, “Fouka Fouka” (Cote D’ivoire)
