Karen and leading hairdresser Michael Van Clarke are the joint force behind HARE Styling. Michael Van Clarke’s daughter Angelica was given a lifesaving operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital when she was just two days old. Now 15 years old, Angelica drew a picture of a hare to help raise funds for the hospital that saved her life. Reproduced on A4 canvasses, the hare was sent to well-known names in the public eye inviting them to create an original artwork.

Distinguished names including Cheryl Cole, Jamie Oliver, Stella McCartney, Catherine Tate, Terry Venables, The Duchess of York all returned canvasses which were auctioned online and at the exclusive ‘HARE Ball’ in May.

On sale from November 1, 2011, the HARE Styling book curates and showcases all of the artists’ HARE canvasses, showing the eclectic creativity, skill and imagination of both well known artists as well as celebrities.

Karen Welman says, “These beautiful and special canvasses have already raised £100,880.00a sum that continues to growfor the HAIRraising appeal. The book now gives everyone the opportunity to own all of these unique works of art for themselves whilst helping this incredibly important and lifesaving hospital.”

The HARE Styling book is available now online via Michael Van Clarke’s official website, RRP £50.00. John Frieda will be signing copies of the HARE Styling book at an exclusive book signing event on the 15th of November at the Pearlfisher Gallery in London.
