The Coca-Cola Beatbox will act as a musical instrument reflecting the idea of  Coca-Cola’s global campaign Move to the Beat that targets teens and uses sport and music as the key elements of the campaign.

Visitors will be able to ‘play’ the Pavilion ETFE plastic pillows interacting with sounds embedded within it. The sounds of Olympic sports captured for the new Coca-Cola anthem by the project’s producer, Mark Ronson will allow people to create their own beat for London 2012 by remixing it.

Emerging London agency, Pernilla & Asif, was founded by Pernilla Ohrstedt, 30, and Asif Khan, 31. They were selected as the most talented young architects to create an innovative pavilion using environmentally friendly technology. They worked with “some of the most innovative engineers in the UK”, according to the architects.

Pernilla Ohrstedt and Asif Khan, said: “The Coca-Cola Beatbox will be a sensory experience that fuses design, music, sport and architecture. It will be something that people have never seen or heard before!”
