Product Ventures Receives Good Design Award for Westcott Trimmers

The recent work of the US-based package and product design specialist Product Ventures has been honored with the prestigious Good Design Award. The design of the Westcott family of TrimAir Rotary and Guillotine Paper Trimmers won a prestigious award in the household products category.

The Westcott family of Trimair paper trimmers including the Rotary and Guillotine trimmers are stylish and innovative with titanium bonded blades, making them 10 times harder than stainless steel. “Westcott’s TrimAir Rotary and Guillotine Paper Trimmers set a new standard for trimmers with its ultra-low profile design. The sleek and modern aesthetic reflects its state-of-the-art performance,” explains Product Ventures Vice President of Design, Javier Verdura. “We are always delighted when we design award-winning products which are not only functional, but innovative and stylish as well.”

The Good Design Award, an international award for new product design and graphics are selected by a jury of experts on behalf of the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design, which was founded in 1950, and is one of the oldest and most esteemed global design competitions. Thousands of submissions are received from the world’s most prominent designers and manufacturers, and the winners are selected for their work in advancing new, visionary and innovative product concepts. The program was founded more than fifty years ago by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufman, Jr.
