Red Bull Studios Introduce New Visual Identity and a Global Website

Red Bull has unveiled a fresh visual approach and a digital platform for its Red Bull Studios, an international network of music recording facilities. The Red Bull Studios provide local emerging artists with an opportunity to use professional equipment for recording their tracks and access assistance from top engineers. The new Red Bull Studios website has a “spacious” feel with the interactive 360-degree photos that allow to explore the Red Bull studios and their interiors at different locations.

The images of the musical instruments and equipment are clickable—each of them has a short description in three languages (Dutch, English or Spanish) to provide users with a sneak peek behind the scenes of the music-making. Visitors to the site can explore artists who recorded at the studios, listen to their tracks and also read articles about the studio’s life delivered in a Pinterest-style grid.

The project was carried out by the Dutch agency Momkai, which filled the Red Bull Studios identity with crisp and airy atmosphere native to the Netherlands’ architecture style. The new visual identity sticks to the principles of clean and sprightly Nordic philosophy. As a tribute to the brand’s heritage and for better recognition, fresh shades of blue and warm grey dominate the color palette.

The Red Bull Studios logo on the top of the site retained the two iconic bulls entering a circle against the red background. As part of the project, designers have released a style guide that should be applied to all physical (print and decor) and digital communications. Yet, the interiors of each of the locations have their own distinct style and their websites on the platform feature different patterns.

The recording facilities represented on the platform are located in Amsterdam, Cape Town, Copenhagen, London, Los Angeles, and Madrid. Soon, more cities such as São Paulo, Aukland, New York and Paris will join the Red Bull Studios network and their recording facilities are sure to appear on the platform as well. The studios’ pages also feature the plan of the physical site as well as the Google map with the studio’s location.

Red Bull is a long-time supporter of emerging music stars, providing them with professional support through a plethora of initiatives ranging from its recently launched the Red Bull Amplifier accelerator and the H∆SHTAG$ video series to the themed projects, such as Red Bull Music Academy to name a few.
