Nestle Waters has collaborated with the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation to release a tribute to one of the world’s most celebrated opera singers and Italian culture. The company is releasing the limited-edition S.Pellegrino and Aqua Panna bottles with a specially designed silver label that features the photograph of Luciano Pavarotti. The new bottle, released as part of the brand’s Italian Talents project, arrives in fine dining restaurants throughout the U.S. starting in late April and will be available there till the supplies last.

The new exclusive bottle features the grey-and-white image of Pavarotti, wearing the black suit and white shirt—the opera genius is smiling and spreading his arms wide. The recognizable red star of S.Pellegrino seems to be resting on his arm. The Aqua Panna bottle with the same label design features the blue fleur-de-lis closer to his heart.

From April through September 2013, S.Pellegrino will also open AMO PAVAROTTI in Verona, Italy—an exhibition that will demonstrate the maestro’s impact on the opera universe. The display will feature iconic personal belongings including costumes and awards. The bottle, which celebrates the legendary tenor, launches in the year of big anniversaries in the opera world—the year of 2013 marks the 200th anniversary of the births of Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner as well as the centennial of the Arena di Verona Lyric Festival, an annual opera music event.

The Italian Talents project aims to create and nurture relationships with esteemed Italian organizations that are symbols of style, innovation, culture and prestige. The collaboration with the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation and special edition S.Pellegrino bottle represent a new and important landmark in this ongoing project,” said Stefano Agostini, CEO of Sanpellegrino S.p.A. “In a year full of extraordinary happenings in the world of music and Italian opera, we celebrate Luciano Pavarotti, whose remarkable voice and personality helped to develop a strong, positive image of Italy and the Italian way of living throughout the world, just as S.Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water does.”

Pavarotti communicated the joy of being Italian with the whole world through his brilliant talent. Similarly, S.Pellegrino exports Italian passion to the haute cuisine scene in over 130 countries across the globe. The special Luciano Pavarotti edition is a new art object in the brand’s collection that matches its ethos with the most recognizable Italy’s icons. Previously, the water brand collaborated with Missoni (2010) and Bulgari (2011) to create special edition bottles to triumph Italian talents and passion.
