To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and London Olympics 2012, Selfridges celebrates this most important year for Britain with the Big British Bang campaign.
From cups of tea to Marmite, from royals to rebels, the Yellow British shop is paying tribute to all things truly British with exciting in-store events, games, exhibitions, special initiatives, exclusive pop-up shops with limited-edition products and lots more surprises from late May through early September.
The store’s legendary rooftop has been re-opened for the summer with a nine-hole crazy golf course. Clad in fondant and piped icing with cake stand bunkers and sugary waterfalls, the course is designed to look like a giant display of cakes and jellies modelled after famous London landmarks such as Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Tower Bridge.
With a Big British Bang campaign Selfridges has been transformed into a creative playground for all that is GREAT in Britain to celebrate wonderfully wacky English culture including etiquette, humour, customs, fashion, art, sports and even food!
