To create its first TV spot in its 20-year history, the 20-years old brand has teamed up with ad agency of record Lambesis, digital studio Digital Domain and its commercial production arm, Mothership, which developed the visual language for the SKYY campaign.

All together, the agencies created a 60-second video featuring a shining glacier leading to a high-tech modern distillery. Young workers are shown operating futuristic machinery, which produces the premium vodka. The film is shot with minimal live action and it’s 100% digital and set to the Polyamorous Affair’s dynamic track ‘White Hot Magic.’

«For our first time on television with our SKYY Vodka brand, our DNA demanded we do something amazing and eye-catching,» said Umberto Luchini, Head of Marketing, Campari America. «After seeing the Tupac Shakur hologram at Coachella, we knew we had teamed with the right production company to take our brand essence of sexy style, exceptional quality, and, of course, our iconic blue bottle to the small screen in over-the-top fashion.»

Mothership director Sil Van Der Woerd who developed the visual language noticed that the main difficulty was to “condense SKYY’s 20 years of innovation, quality and style into a 60-second commercial.”

The SKYY Passion for Perfection campaign launches on July 19 nationwide on TV and in media. Digital media, billboards, transit, and large-format wall installations in the U.S. will also support the campaign. Behind the scenes footage of the making of the campaign will be available to SKYY’s loyal fans through SKYY’s Facebook page and Twitter pages.
