Seneca Food’s Aunt Nellie’s brand of pickled vegetables enjoys a large and loyal following of older consumers. With rising interest in the farm-fresh movement from a younger generation, Seneca was perfectly positioned to speak to a broader demographic. In order for the brand to remain relevant and differentiated at shelf and appeal to a larger consumer pool, Seneca turned to international brand and design consultancy, Dragon Rouge, to develop a contemporized packaging design to appeal to younger consumers.

London based brand design consultancy, Ziggurat Brands is in the final stages of a significant two year packaging redesign project for Tetley tea, which concludes with a new brand architecture and unified brand identity that will be introduced to Tetley’s international markets, commencing in September 2010. The first territories in which the new branding will appear are the UK, USA, Australia and India.

Brown Forman announced the launch of its newly designed Herradura Tequila bottle that captures the essence and heritage of the brand name. In 2009, Brown Forman hired Hirst Pacific Ltd to assist in redesigning the bottle. The mission for Kenneth Hirst, president of Hirst Pacific Ltd, was to work in conjunction with the Brown Forman design team to develop a new Herradura bottle that would unify Herradura’s global markets, replacing the round bottle in Mexico and the square bottle in the USA.

This fall, Campari’s SKYY Blue Vodka RTD range got a new ‘outfit,’ designed by the Sydney-based graphic design agency The Saltmine, which won the business in a competitive pitch. The label designs are clear, creating a crisp effect against the brand’s iconic blue glass bottle. They also highlight the product’s USP of being triple filtered and quadruple distilled, producing less sweetness and fizz to appeal to a more unisex target than other RTDs.
