The famous Swedish fashion retailer H&M, which has stores all around the globe, can makes of fashion bloggers come true. To prove it, the company has collaborated with fashion blogger since 2007 Elin Kling, who previewed the autumn/winter 2010 collections on H&M’s website. This is the first-ever H&M’s partnership of this kind, and it gives hope to others who dream of stepping out of digital world of blogs and have his or her designs turned into real apparel ‘of cloth and buttons.’

A unique exhibition is now taking place in Somerset House in London. From now and until January 09 you may see the most opulent and iconic works created by the famous fashion illustrator of the 20th century Rene Gruau, who for 40 years of his life worked with Dior. The exhibition is designed to celebrate this collaboration and show Gruau’s original artwork for the House of Dior, as the visitors may see over seventy original illustrations for Christian Dior sketches, perfumes, magazines and poster ads created by the artist.

The world renowned brand Lacoste in partnership with Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland, announced a prize to celebrate young and promising photographers at the exhibition dubbed ‘reGeneration 2: Tomorrow’s Photographers Today’ that took place at the Swiss photography museum. Out of 80 photographers, the jury of the Lacoste Elysee prize comittee selected 12 nominants from different countries. Among them there were:  Ueli Alder (Switzerland), Benjamin Beker (Serbia), Jen Davis (United States), Di Liu (China), Camila Rodrigo Graña (Peru),  Kalle Kataila (Finland), Geoffrey H. Short (New Zealand), Tereza Vlcková (Czech Republic) and others.

Dior has presented John Cameron Mitchell-directed short-film entitled ‘Lady Grey London’, the fourth and the last installment of the colour saga, which takes the viewers across the globe. The creators of the video decided to dedicate it to the grey colour because it crowns the traditional weather palette of the capital and is considered to be one of the emblematic colours of the fashion brand. Just as it is with the previous videos, the key character of the story is played by award-winning French actress Marion Cotillard.

IKEA, which is known as a supplier of affordable home interior pieces, has shown signs of interest in new approaches in fashion industry. This October, the iconic furniture retailer invited up-and-coming Swedish designers to participate in a competition dubbed ‘IKEA Garderob’ for a chance to have their new collections displayed in a personally designed double PAX-wardrobe at a trendy shop in Stockholm’s Bibliotekstan street.

Not so long ago Nespresso presented a series of tongue-in-cheek TV adverts with George Clooney and John Malkovich starring, and it already has more sophisticated and delightful things in store to please its consumers.

This time, the brand launched Nespresso N-Art campaign aimed at collaborating with modern artists to find innovative and inspiring ways for brand promotion. As part of this campaign, Nespresso invited Indian avant-gardist fashion designer Manish Arora to decorate its brand flagship store on Champs Elysees in Paris.

Ralph Lauren, one of the most successful fashion designers, celebrated 10 years of innovation by throwing a huge 4D show. It was an unique blend of moden-day visual art and fashion, the 3D projection used the front of Ralph Lauren’s flagship store in New York as a background for an unseen and 100% live action. What we see as the 8-minute video took months of production and cross-disciplinary team of 150 professionals unite their efforts in making the video.

MTV and 55DSL unveiled a series of new ‘sensual’ adverts and announced a line of T-shirts featuring tongue-in-cheek designs to celebrate the pioneering spirit of both brands. Under this initiative, six international artists created themed visuals for the tees and five motion design studios took up the story in their short animated spots, which are being aired across 63 international MTV channels starting November 8.
