On Monday, December 06, Google Inc. officially announced the launch of its new service Google e-Books. This is, without a doubt, the largest collection of all types of books of different genres and by different authors of all epochs. Most of them are available for sale in Google eBookstore—but only to the U.S. citizens so far.
Google unveiled an interactive book to teach everybody about the web. The creative Google Chrome Team collaborated with illustrator Christoph Niemann to create a very nice guide in the style of children’s books to unveil the simple truths about Internet and its technologies. The 62-page edition titled “20 Things I Learnt about the Browsers and the Web” is developed using HTML5 and can be viewed both online and offline (once you loaded the book in any HTML5-compliant modern browser, the Internet connection is not required to continue the reading).
Coca-Cola, IBM, Microsoft and Google lead Interbrand‘s 11th annual ranking of the «Best Global Brands.» Google (#4) sees a 36% increase in value over last year, bringing the brand closer than ever to rival Microsoft (#3). HP (#10) enters the top 10 for the first time, having increased brand value under a new business model and brand platform. For the 11th year straight, Coca-Cola (#1) retains its top spot as the number one ranked brand on the list.
