Coca-Cola UK knows how to engage fans into the interactive celebration of the biggest football event of the year,  2010 FIFA World Cup. The soft-drink giant, which is an official sponsor of the tournament, has released a viral video featuring English-team player Wayne Rooney and comedian James Corden, who are “shooting” an ad, where the footballer is supposed to show his own energetic version of a goal celebration.

Never have there been such high expectation in the World Cup as there are in 2010 – at least not for a ball.  The official World Cup ball to be used in South Africa this year is called “Jabulani”, which means “be happy” or “rejoice” in isiZulu.  Though not a description normally attached to an item that is kicked and chased all match, officials feel the scientifically designed ball will make the World Cup only that much greater this year.

The World Cup 2010 has not even started yet but the trophy has been touring since late 2009 thanks to a promotion sponsored by Coca-Cola Company.  Over 225 days and visiting five continents, 84 countries, 94 cities, traveling over 93,000 miles, and touched by over 500,000 people and the FIFA World Cup Tour sponsored by Coca-Cola is almost complete as the trophy is now in South Africa for the final leg of its journey.
