Tetley Has Kicked off the COOL OFF Event to Raise the Money for CURE Childhood Cancer

On May 25th 2010, hundreds of Atlanta residents passing by the Atlantic Station, had a chance to attend a special event, organized by Tetley USA. It is called COOL OFF Event and supposed to be a fun-for-good campaign to promote tea drinking and raise funds for charity — CURE Childhood Cancer, the non-profit organization based in Marietta, Georgia.

Tetley US teamed up with the popular DJ Justin Tysinger from the radio station B98.5 who was to be “cool off” in a dunk tank filled with Ice Tetley Tea. For each pitch thrown at Tysinger, Tetley will donated $1.00 to the CURE Childhood Cancer.

Moreover, Tetley fans had a chance to meet the icon of the brand personally. Sir Tetley treated the “guests” with refreshing ice tea, rewarded them with different small prizes — did everything that a real polite English gentlemen would do. His mission is supposed to not only represent the brand’s “englishness”, but to educate America that drinking tea is both refreshing and fun.

Not eventually, Atlanta was chosen as the right location to hold the event, because Tetley iced tea has been manufactured there for long — since 1973.

Here are some photos from the event.
