Visa Canada Offers TIFF Visitors Lots of Bonuses

Visa Canada, the Toronto International Film Festival’s constant sponsor since 1997, this year offers Infinite cardholders exclusive online and in-person access to the 37th TIFF events.

Participating in the ‘Share the Spotlight,’ cardholders can find out more about the festival films, get priority access to tickets and insider information at Visa.ca/Spotlight beginning September 5. New exclusive festival content will be added daily by two professional bloggers will highlight the festival events and offer interviews with celebrities.

«We are thrilled to have increased our level of sponsorship to now be a major sponsor moving into our 15th year working with the Toronto International Film Festival,» said Brenda Woods, head of marketing, Visa Canada. «This year, cardholders can look forward to an unprecedented level of access to the Festival online and in person with a wide variety of perks and surprises.»

TIFF visitors who are Visa customers can have their photo taken on the Visa blue carpet located near Roy Thomson Hall and then find their photos posted on Visa.ca/Spotlight and share with friends. Each cardholder will be able to enjoy several minutes of fame as their photo will be projected on a big screen.

Visa Infinite cardholders could also buy tickets starting August 30 at a special pre-sale for select films screening at the Princess of Wales Theatre. They will also have lots of bonuses on-site.

Visa Gold, Visa Platinum and Visa Infinite cardholders will have access to the Visa Premiere Lounge, located at the Visa Screening Room where they can enjoy refreshments and complimentary snacks, and enter the Visa Screening Room prior to other ticket holders.

Other festival sponsors of TIFF include Audi, L’Oreal Paris, RBC Royal Bank and Bell Canada.

Visa, as the Olympics 2012 sponsor, was also rolling out  various initiatives for the London 2012 Olympic Games fans.
