The adidas Originals line has got a new addition. The new set of running shoes combines the innovation and retro-style. The brand has recently introduced the shoes with an augmented reality code, and this time it goes on into the interactive field by creating a video game, which is available exclusively on a USB Key that is placed into the packaging of the adiGames ZX 500.
Basically, this is a relaunch of the high mileage trail/road running shoe line, the ZX 500, which was presented by the company back in the 80s. Then it was kind of a revolutionary shoes, considering its biomechanically correct design. Good things come back, and now the manufacturer has introduced a renewed version of ZX, which visually combines the neon colours of the disco epoch and first video games.
The unique multi-purpose rubber outsole has “smart” studs, which can grip when you are on soft ground, but is you step onto some harder surfaces, it quickly retreats. But still, the most hilarious thing about the shoes is not their design, but the game, which goes together with the pack. In the ZX Runner made just in the style of simple games of the 80s together with DJ Zed you will run, climb walls, collect power-ups and get back into the great world of mini-games.
The shoes can be purchased from the Adidas store at the price of $90 per pair.
