A unique exhibition is now taking place in Somerset House in London. From now and until January 09 you may see the most opulent and iconic works created by the famous fashion illustrator of the 20th century Rene Gruau, who for 40 years of his life worked with Dior. The exhibition is designed to celebrate this collaboration and show Gruau’s original artwork for the House of Dior, as the visitors may see over seventy original illustrations for Christian Dior sketches, perfumes, magazines and poster ads created by the artist.

Domino’s Pizza, one of the biggest US pizza brands, being determined to change their customer’s attitude to the ingredients used in course of pizza production, launched its latest marketing campaign dubbed ‘Behind the Pizza’. Several videos showed how the target group, taken to Wisconsin countryside, sitting in a room and sharing their perception of ingredients of Domino’s Pizza (generally, American’s don’t believe food products are made of natural ingredients)… Suddenly the room rigs up to reveal the Wisconsin farm where the fresh ingredients are harvested. The camera capture’s astonished customers who are really impressed with the brand’s efforts to deliver fresh and natural products. 

To celebrate the success of the Red Bull racing team at Formula 1 Championship, the producer of energy drink unveiled a new 473ml Champions Edition can featuring the portraits of two champion drivers of Red Bull team, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. By displaying the portraits of the racing drivers on the limited edition cans, Red Bull plans to boost the sales of the drinks especially by targeting F1 fans.

New Balance, an American sports footwear manufacturer, teamed up with Counterkicks, the web-resource showcasing the news of footwear, to run a design contest aimed at finding the most innovative idea for an iconic and lightweight New Balance Sprint Spike shoes. Every pitch was evaluated by the panel of judges based on the following criteria: inspiration and story, innovation, and execution. This criterias were used by the judges (professionals from New Balance design team including Brett Golliff, JF Fullum, Kyle Strek) based on the criterias of evaluation for professional projects they normally use at work.

The world renowned brand Lacoste in partnership with Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland, announced a prize to celebrate young and promising photographers at the exhibition dubbed ‘reGeneration 2: Tomorrow’s Photographers Today’ that took place at the Swiss photography museum. Out of 80 photographers, the jury of the Lacoste Elysee prize comittee selected 12 nominants from different countries. Among them there were:  Ueli Alder (Switzerland), Benjamin Beker (Serbia), Jen Davis (United States), Di Liu (China), Camila Rodrigo Graña (Peru),  Kalle Kataila (Finland), Geoffrey H. Short (New Zealand), Tereza Vlcková (Czech Republic) and others.

Last week Google unveiled a new tool dubbed Google Earth Engine that serves as part of Google Earth Project. This tool is designed by the Internet giant in collaboration with NASA in order to track environmental changes on the basis of a huge amount of satellite imagery and data recorded in the past versus the latest data received. The project was unveiled during the climate talks in Cancun on December 02.
