Avon to Start Avon Voices Competition in December

Avon, one of the most social-oriented global cosmetic companies, is going to launch its music competition on December 1, 2010, and encourages both women and men to get ready for the global castings. The Avon Voices contest is the company’s first-ever global online singing talent search for women, and songwriting competition for women and men.

Award-winning judges signed on to the global talent search include Fergie, six-time Grammy Award winner and one of Avon faces, and Diane Warren, legendary songwriter. Registration will begin on the dedicated hub, www.avonvoices.com, on the first day of winter, with more details to be disclosed by that time.

Most probably, the new initiative will continue the company’s strive for social improvement and will become one of the good cause projects, which are already launched by Avon. They include the Hello Green Tomorrow campaign which has been empowering a women’s environmental movement to restore vital ecosystem via donation for planting trees, and the Love/Avon Army of Women project aimed at helping fight with breast cancer. In 1955 the company also organized The Avon Foundation, which is now the major financial supporter of Avon’s social initiatives.
