For the second consecutive year, Badoit, the Danone France carbonated water brand, has collaborated with students of École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs to develop a new limited edition line of the festive Christmas bottle. Following the «Avec Badoit, l’Art s’invite à table!» (With Badit, Art Invites Itself to the Table») slogan, this fall 40 participants came up with their concepts of the Badoit Green (Vert) and Badoit Red (Rouge) bottles to be on sale during the upcoming Noël season.

The grand winner of the creative contest is Guillaume Hugon, who developed a chic and lovely design, embodying lightness, sparkling, joy and party—everything that comes to mind when you think about Christmas. At the launch of the competition, the jury panel was planning to shortlist the works to 10, but was so impressed by the quality and creativity of the visuals that decided to expand the number of the finalists to 15.

The best entry was selected from nearly one hundred works submitted by the students of the art school—as the prize, Guillaume received € 5,000 plus a great contribution to his portfolio. The new bottles, priced €1.99, will arrive in French supermarkets in November, but those who can’t wait until the national launch, can purchase the edition in the Parisian boutique of colette already in October.

The jury also selected Valentin Fontaine as the second winner of the contest for his minimalistic design and awarded him with a nice sum of €2,000. His line is limited to only 3,000 copies and will be sold at €3 (€10 for a 2-bottle set in a transparent box) in the colette shop starting November 2010 through January 2011 (the item can be already ordered online).
