Beyond Chocolate: new delicious design by Embrace Brands

London-based Embrace Brands create iconic design and structure for a new range of chocolate truffles Beyond Chocolate. It was launched in Waitrose, a UK supermarket yesterday, on the 2nd Nov.

Beyond Chocolate is a range of unique truffles handmade by chef and entrepreneur Simons Boyles original recipe and method.  These luxury chocolate truffles help people who have experienced homelessness by funding work experience, training and job opportunities, with profits going to the foundation.

As the category is awash with stereotypical dark colours the design team had to create something that would get immediate attention on-shelf enabling the consumer to engage with the product and find out more about the foundation, as well as create some something that was about a ‘take away’ experience which was different to other stereotypical designs.

Which is how the current design came to be, similar to a take away carton.  The experience continues inside with a interlocking ‘B’ opening into the tissue paper lined inside revealing the beautiful chocolates.
