Bloomberg Businessweek Encourages American Millennials to Start Independent Life

Bloomberg Businessweek has launched a U.S. campaign aimed to inspire millennials to finally get a job and move out of their parents’ houses.

The new initiative, called «Bloomberg Businessweek Gets You ahead», includes a series of vibrant e-cards with tongue-in-cheek lines, which might sound somewhat offensive to those  grown-ups in their twenties who still use parents’ money and live on their territory. The cards with cute imagery  and ironical copy can be sent via the dedicated site by Walrus.

Along with sharing the cards, users can send to their «kids» 12 free print or digital Bloomberg Businessweek issues. The idea behind the promotion is that sometimes young people just don’t know how to pursue their careers and so they need some kind of intellectual and inspirational push.

The campaign also includes traditional colorful paper cards available in some Papyrus stores across the USA for those who like to handwrite their notes.

“While giving millennials grief is highly entertaining, we want to acknowledge that the woeful state of the economy is not their fault. These free issues and ecards are intended to help a generation that could sure use a hand, not to blame them,” states Bloombers, explaining the idea behind the effort that is designed to inspire, not to insult the younger generation.
