Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award is one of Australia’s most notable design awards. It is held annually to celebrate the outstanding emerging Australian designers. In 2011 it’s been organized for the eighth time.
A variety of designer solutions to be on display at the exhibition will range from graphical designs on the paper to 3D designs involving a plethora of tools and materials like concrete. Aside from the designer works that only present decorative value, there will be solutions for home and workplace that everybody may use in their day-to-day life (furniture, lighting, shelving, multipurpose tools).
The guests attending the event will be able to see the best creative works by Australian up-and-coming artists (such as Adam Cornish, David Knot, and Andrew/Simpson Oliver/Smith) and sample the flavours of the cocktails prepared using Bombay Sapphire. They will also have a chance to support the designer whose works they like best by casting their voice in course of ‘People’s Choice’ award.
