Cadbury’s Supplier Finds a Recipe of an “Anti-ageing” Chocolate

A chocolate that slows the ageing process has been introduced by Barry Callebaut, the international chocolatier company, one of the main Cadbury’s suppliers.  Acticocoa is full of natural antioxidants which can protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.

According to the studies, 20g a day of Acticoa could help hydrate the skin thus preventing wrinkles and improving elasticity of the skin.  Barry Callebaut found a way to preserve antioxidants called flavonols found in cocoa beans but normally destroyed in the process used in making traditional chocolate.  Flavonols clean up free radicals that can be caused by smoking, pollution, caffeine and a lack of sleep.  All activities and events that can cause acceleration  of the aging process.

Barry Callebaut, a company of 7,500 people in 26 countries, makes over $3 billion worth of chocolate each year.
