Campbell Soup launched Campbell’s Soup Scan Sweepstakes, the first sweepstakes to use the Stickybits mobile application, to provide a fun and interactive way to build awareness of the brand’s redesigned label, enhanced shopper experience and great tasting soup selections.
Stickybits connects digital media to real-world objects via barcodes. With the Stickybits mobile application, users can scan any barcode and attach photos and video content for other users to discover and respond to. A person’s Stickybits activities can be shared across Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.
People enter the sweepstakes by using the free application to scan UPC codes from labels of redesigned Campbell’s Condensed soup cans and sharing their impressions of the new designs by adding a photo, which is then posted on the Campbell’s Condensed soup Facebook page.
During the promotion, which concludes October 1, people who visit the Campbell’s Condensed soup Facebook page can enter the sweepstakes by downloading the Stickybits‘ mobile application for iPhone or Android smart phones and have the chance to win $500 (entrants must be 18 years or older) by posting a picture of the new label. People without an iPhone or Android phone can also enter the sweepstakes directly from the Campbell’s Condensed soup Facebook page.
«By encouraging shoppers to seek out and interact with our iconic brand we hope to make them feel even more connected to the Campbell’s brand,» said Jennifer Gordon, Director of Global Advertising and Design, Campbell Soup Company.
The Campbell’s Condensed soup Facebook page and the Campbell’s Soup Scan Sweepstakes were developed by the interactive practice of G2 USA. Sweepstakes promotion and fulfillment are being handled by Strobe Promotions.
