Domaine Chandon, which proves to be the leading producer of sparkling wine, had released a new product called “étoile Tête de Cuvée”. The price for one bottle is $100, a totally adequate amount considering the festive season and the level of the brand.
Chandon’s winemakers mixed the best grapes from the harvest of 2000 and aged the wine for long 8 years. Over the period the wine developed rich ripe flavors of toasted cardamom, star anise and baked apples, perfect taste complexity and a magnificent creamy mouthfeel carrying toffee and caramel flavors.
The brand blended most respected French wine traditions with new world innovations. The new wine was created with the help of the old method and on the basis of Champagne grapes of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It’s advisable to serve the wine as an aperitif or with richer dishes.
