Chanel reveals it secrets online—the brand, which has become the epitome of style, is telling its story on a dedicated website, Inside.Chanel.com. Yesterday, on October 4, the brand released a teaser video on its YouTube channel, where it focuses on its iconic fragrance, Chanel No.5 over ninety years ago, inviting the audience to visit the major destination and watch the full version of the movie.
“For the first time ever, Chanel tells its story online. Chapter One. Chanel No.5. How a revolutionary scent created in 1921 continues to be the best-selling and famous fragrance in the world,” says the teaser video. Visitors to the online destination can discover a lot about the legendary fragrance background and history, its success in the world full of fragrance products of all kinds. The film features photos of divas, including Merlin Monroe, Carole Bouquet, Nicole Kidman, Catherine Deneuve to name but a few—the faces, who represented Chanel No.5 in different years.
The loading image of the website is the iconic black-and-white photo of Coco Chanel herself. Beneath the photo, there are two chapters, Timeline and No.5—the first tells a story of the fashion brand in a timeline, and the second focuses on the history of the iconic fragrance with «The story at a glance» retrospective exhibition of advertising elements (prints and videos) as well as the film “Chanel No.5. For the first time.” The website is available in 11 languages including English, French, Russian and Japanese.
