Cisco Announces Innovative Video Tablet Coming in 2011

In 2011, Cisco will be releasing a new video conferencing tablet called the Cius. The device, primarily targeting the business market, runs the Android operating system and will be able to email and message on top of the ability to run the company’s collaboration applications including producing and editing video content.

The tablet only weighs 1.15 pounds with a 7-inch SVGA screen and has two cameras with one 720p mounted on the front capable of recording in 30fps and a 5-megapixel on the back. The battery is removable with 8-hours of run time per charge and the unit supports WiFi and 3G cellular modems.

Pricing for the Cius has not been released yet but it certainly will be a smashing hit with Android users around the globe.
