Coca-Cola Brazil is introducing virtual game into real life and vice versa. The brand collaborated with the Gringo agency to launch an interactive activity ‘The impossible is possible— My Life In Game’ on December 1, where the key character is a real person, Lucas Dias, turned into an onscreen hero, is taking up challenges and fights with mean people. The goal is to have more time for his private life.
The plot is made up of real-life stories, told by people on the www.jovemnerd.ig.com.br blog. The game was developed primarily for young adults, those who spend a lot of time in offices, but still have something more important to do—like being with their loved ones and friends. So, everything Lucas does is revolving around getting more time for his out-of-the-office life. In the street he meets aggressive guys, mafiosi and in the office he is overwhelmed by paper work, but now he can deal with all these troubles. Gamers can help him by using a number of keyboard keys to strike and ask other people (a girlfriend and friends) to fight back.
Real-life Lucas was photographed and then his images were rendered with a 3D image making technology. The project’s developers also provide users with a sneak peek into how the whole thing was created—visitors to the site can watch the making-of video, get inspired with the idea and maybe change their own life. In its turn, this game was inspired by another creation, the Coke Zero ‘The Morning After’ commercial where a guy is escaping from an enraged father of his girlfriend. And what extraordinary thing would you do to spend some more time with your girlfriend or boyfriend?
