During the first event King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and The Murlocs performed at the former Rozelle Hospital in Sydney. The concept of the project focuses on the idea that music can and should disrupt the laws.

“When it comes to new innovative parties/live shows/raves etc, it is usually expected that the people throwing them are trying to bypass some of the general hurdles that come with putting on such events (eg. money, venue, security, liquor licensing, sound system…the list goes on),” reads Converse blog.

“When this bypass is successful, the resulting party often remains unique in our memory because we’ve ended up at some abandoned property with a bunch of our friends and a great selection of local bands and DJS, who are all their to experience something that the local pub, club or touring festival can’t deliver.”

Converse has just announced the next round of shows that will take place in several unusual locations in Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington. The locations and bands are yet to be revealed. The information and tickets will be available on the Converse Facebook page.
